When you see the development and progress going on in one of  Nepal’s major cities Butwal you are forced to believe ‘Butwal is future’. This sub-metropolitan city is not only expanding but also emerging as modern city of the country. Let’s have a look upon this hub of Nepal.

 

1 Six lanes modern road that connects Butwal to Bhairahawa and Indian border Sunauli is one major development you will see when you are in Butwal. Currently, almost 75% of the work is completed.

2 It has its own cycle lane, rickshaw lane.  And don’t forget the greenery in side.

3 Butwal Hatt Bazar is a market hub where you can buy anything and everything. The weekly market opens on Wednesday and Saturday.

4 Butwal is a dream city of migrants from Western Nepal. The migrants mostly come from Syangja, Parbat, Palpa, Gulmi, Arghakhachi, Baglung. In other sense, its a mini Kathmandu.

5 It is centrally located which is also in midpoint of country’s major highway ‘Mahendra Rajmarga’ that connects Mechi-Kali.  Similarly it is intersection of Nepal’s two different National Highways  Siddhartha Rajmarga and Mahendra Rajmarga.

6 Nepal’s second International Airport ‘Gautam Buddha Airport’ is under construction in Bhairahawa which will be completed by June 2018. The city will be tremendously benefited from this new development.

7 Butwal- Bhairahawa area already boast many international standard luxury hotels. Moreover, many new five-star hotels are currently under construction, while several more are in the works ; for eg Bodhi Red Sun, Pawan Palace.

8 Butwal has many industries primarily located in ‘Butwal Industrial Estate’ but now the city is looking for another industrial area because of growing factories. Motipur area is identified as new hub for industries.

9 Compared to other cities Butwal has some open spaces, parks and greenery.

11 Real estate boom means land prices are as expensive as in Kathmandu. It has become an attractive investment destination for real estate brokers as land prices have been soaring  because of the ongoing development works.

12 Butwal is just 29 km away from Indian border Sunauli, that is a huge advantage for investors and locals as cheaper goods, big market is just next door.
